Cabin Classes: About all You Need to Know

Suites: Reclinable and fully swiveling, allowing you to sit back and recline with ease from take-off to touchdown. Exclusive to the Airbus A380, Singapore Airlines Suites offer a luxurious experience with private cabins, full-sized beds, and fine dining options. It’s the epitome of privacy and comfort in the skies. 

First Class: Available on select aircraft, First Class offers spacious seats that give you private space, Extra Wide seating, Mood Lighting, and can even Book the Cook. Flyers enjoy an array of luxurious amenities and exclusive check-in services on the flight.

Business Class: Business Class features are there in flights like A380, A350-777, Regional Business Class A350, and 787, A737-8, and A737-800 NG.  

The seats in this section are designed for comfort and privacy every detail has been taken into consideration when one is traveling after a business trip. Premium Economy Class: Offering more space and comfort than standard Economy, Premium Economy includes wider seats, greater legroom, and enhanced meal options. Economy Class: Economy Class on Singapore Airlines is known for its comfortable seating, quality in-flight entertainment, and excellent service. One gets ample personal space, even when the seat in front of you is reclined. For even more room to stretch your legs, opt for our Extra Legroom seats, ensuring a comfortable journey. If you prefer to be among the first to disembark in Economy Class, choose Forward Zone Seats, conveniently located closer to the doors.

Before the Flight

There are many types of Lounges available to relax at the SIA only. Read below about them in detail:

1. First Class Check-in Lounges

At Singapore Changi Airport, Suites and First Class passengers, along with Solitaire PPS Club members holding confirmed bookings on Singapore Airlines flights, can check in at the First Class Check-in Reception.

2.SilverKris Lounge

Be mindful of the lounge entitlements as they depend on your immediate departure from Singapore Airlines or say from Star Alliance Flights. Here, you could be entitled to guest entitlements, which are based on your class of travel and also on KrisFlyer membership and Star Alliance Status.

3.KrisFlyer Gold Lounge

KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold customers are invited to our KrisFlyer Gold Lounge in Singapore Changi Airport Terminals 2 and 3. 

4. Airline Partner Lounge 

Please be aware that lounge access is granted based on your immediate departing Singapore Airlines flights at each airport. Customers who are using codeshare flights will be entitled to lounge access depending on the rules and regulations of the operating flight.  

Cancellation Policy and Refunds

• You can cancel your ticket online and receive a refund if you purchased it right from Singapore Airlines at a refundable fare.
• If you cancel a non-refundable ticket, only the refundable taxes will be returned. The credit/debit card used to buy the ticket will be issued a refund. There can be a cancellation or refund fee in some cases. You have the deadline specified on your booking to cancel your ticket to be eligible for a refund.
• If you buy a ticket for a flight to or from the United States, you can cancel it within 24 hours of making the reservation without incurring any fees, provided that you do so at least one week in advance of the scheduled departure time. To guarantee you receive a complete refund, cancel your ticket by contacting Singapore Airlines.
• Before buying your ticket on our website, please check with your travel agent or connect with the Customer Service Department about the terms and conditions of the refund policy.

Baggage Tips

• Purchase travel insurance that covers the loss, delay, or damage of baggage and personal belongings before your trip.
• Read thoroughly the Baggage Policy to enjoy a hassle-free journey.
• Consider putting a tracking device in your baggage.
• Pack within your baggage allowance, as charges will apply for checked baggage that exceeds your free allowance.
• Ensure your bags are in good condition to facilitate smooth handling and protect your belongings.
• Attach a distinctive feature, such as ribbons or stickers, to easily identify your baggage.
• Avoid placing medication, valuable items, or important documents (like laptops, jewelry, cash, visas, and certificates) in your checked baggage.
• Do not pack fragile or perishable items in your checked baggage. Apply the same considerations for food items as you would for cabin baggage.
• Attach your contact information, including your full name, permanent residential address, email, and contact number, both inside and outside your checked baggage.
• From your checked baggage remove all tags and labels from previous flights.
• Ensure all battery-operated devices in your checked baggage are completely switched off (not in sleep or hibernation mode), protected from damage, and prevented from unintentional activation. For more information on general restrictions for cabin and checked baggage, click here.

On Arrival

• Before leaving the arrival hall collect all the checked baggage. 
• Do check the baggage tag upon collecting your bags and to confirm the ownership- check the Airline Help Desk. 
• In case your baggage is delayed or damaged while handling the baggage. Approach the Lost & Found Department to report.

When You are at the Singapore Airlines Airport

• Take pictures of your baggage before checking it in with the Customer Service Desk.
• Check in your baggage before the check-in counter closes. Click here for the check-in counter closure times.
• Do not check in any baggage containing items you are not fully aware of.
• Inform our check-in staff if your checked baggage contains restricted items or dangerous goods, such as lithium-ion batteries and power banks. If unsure, clarify with the check-in staff.
• Inform the check-in personnel if any components of your luggage are protruding or if there is already damage.
• Inform the check-in staff if your baggage contains fragile items.
• Retain the checked baggage receipt provided by the check-in agent, even after reaching your destination.
• Verify that the passenger name, number of checked bags, and destination on the checked baggage receipt are correct.
• Lock your checked baggage. For flights departing to/from the USA, use only TSA-approved locks, as non-TSA-approved locks may be pried open for inspection by TSA.
• Make sure that all loose or projecting components, such as handles and straps, are firmly attached to your checked luggage.

Checked Package

When you book a flight with Singapore Airlines, then Free Baggage Allowance will be reflected on your ticket. Please remember that your checked baggage allowance is determined by either the weight or piece concept, depending on your final destination. It's highly recommended to read through the Baggage policy of the SIA.
